IUPUI has pledged to join the Institute of International Education (IIE)’s Generation Study Abroad initiative to significantly increase the number of American students who study abroad by the end of the decade. Want to learn more about study abroad? Come to our Fall Fair, part of Weeks of Welcome (WoW)!
Program directors and study abroad staff will be available to speak with you about the hundreds of programs offered through the IU system. Browse for programs that fit your needs and learn more about financial aid and scholarships for study abroad. You can also speak with a representative from the Peace Corps for information on volunteer opportunities abroad after graduation.

The IUPUI Study Abroad Office will be closed on Monday, September 1, for Labor Day. Please check our website for more information, or visit us during our normal hours: Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm during the summer and university breaks, and 9am to 5pm during the school year.
Study, Research, or Teach English Abroad on the Fulbright Program U.S. Student Program in 2015-2016
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers fellowships for graduating seniors, graduate students, young professionals, and creative and performing artists to spend an academic year abroad. Fulbright awards can support a variety of activities in over 140 countries, including
- Studying and/or conducting research abroad (study/research grants)
- Teaching English (English Teaching Assistantships)
- Working in public policy (Fulbright-Clinton Fellowships)
- Researching the cultural force of music (Fulbright-mtvU Fellowship)

Note: The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is open only to U.S. citizens. Students who are citizens of other countries should consider opportunities available through the Fulbright Foreign Student Program.

The Study Abroad Office is happy to speak to your class or organization about the numerous benefits of international experiences during college. Members of our staff are available to present any day of the week and in the evenings. Presentations can be as short as just 5 minutes or as long as an hour or more. Longer presentations will include at least one interactive activity that focuses on study abroad or intercultural experiences.
