IIE Generation Study Abroad logoIUPUI has pledged to join the Institute of International Education (IIE)’s Generation Study Abroad initiative to significantly increase the number of American students who study abroad by the end of the decade. IUPUI has committed to increasing the number of students who study abroad by 25% over the next five years. Read the official IUPUI press release.


Office closed Friday, October 24

The IUPUI Study Abroad Office will be closed on Friday, October 24, for a staff retreat. Please check our website for more information, or visit us during our normal hours: 9am to 5pm during the school year, and Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm during the summer and university breaks.


Pre-Departure Meetings

Are you preparing to travel abroad? The Study Abroad Office will be offering general pre-departure meetings this fall for anyone who would like to learn more about packing, health and safety tips, handling money, communication, cross-cultural understanding, and more!

Dates:

  • Wednesday, November 12, 2:00-4:00 PM
  • Wednesday, December 10, 1:00-3:00 PM

All General Pre-Departure Meetings will be held in the Global Crossroads Classroom (ES 2132).

Please RSVP to abroad@iupui.edu at least one business day before the meeting.

2014 Photo Contest Winners!

The winners of the 2014 Study Abroad Photo Contest were announced yesterday at our annual Welcome Back Recpetion. Competition was fiece this year - nearly 400 photos were submitted for the 2014 contest, more than double the number of entries in 2013. A panel of judges from the Herron School of Art and Design and the Office of International Affairs selected this year's top entries. Thank you to everyone who participated!
