Your Graduate Degree and Study Abroad

How does study abroad fit into your graduate education?

Programs listed below offer a variety of courses in different disciplines, ranging from public and community health to traditional medicine to arts and humanities.

TALK TO AN ACADEMIC ADVISOR

Note: Participation in any study abroad program, even if listed on your degree page, does not automatically guarantee credit in your program. Be sure to speak with an academic advisor in your academic program to determine where participation in a study abroad program may apply to your degree.

Looking for something different?

This list above is not exhaustive for programs that could fulfill your degree. You can consider programs outside your area of study if your program allows for electives.

You can also consider a non-IU program through various study abroad program providers or other universities, if your program allows transfer credit. Read about Non-IU Programs for more information on how to start the application process. If you find a non-IU program that fits your interests, contact our office at least 6 weeks before your departure to ensure credit transfer and to learn more about applying financial aid or scholarships.
