Study Abroad Video Contest Submission

Any IUPUI student who studied abroad on any approved study abroad program during the past academic year (Fall 2008, Spring 2009 and Summer I and II 2009) is eligible to participate in the contest.

DEADLINE: All entries must be submitted by 5pm on August 14, 2009.

Video Requirements

• The video should be between 2-5 minutes and should capture the study abroad experience and convey what students do, feel, and learn while studying abroad. Videos could include interviews with participants/program directors, footage of activities in which the group participated, and scenes from the study abroad location.
• All entrants must have available a high-quality version with minimal compression of the video to supply to IUPUI Study Abroad, upon request. (Video dimensions should be 640x480 pixels (or 720x480 if NTSC))
• Video must be a Quicktime or AVI file with minimal compression. No DVDs or tapes will be accepted.
• All music, audio, images, and video must be wholly owned by the submitter. No copyrighted components, such as popular music, are allowed.

Submission process

1. Upload your video
   1. If you don't have a YouTube account, create one at YouTube.com
   2. Once you are logged in, go to http://www.youtube.com/group/iupuiabroad and click "Become a member"
   3. Once you are a member of the IUPUI Study Abroad group, click "add a video" to submit your video. Follow the upload instructions provided by YouTube.

The fine print: All submissions become the property of Indiana University for use in any future publicity, publications, and/or fundraisers. The videos may be used in a way that includes your name and program information. If you would prefer that your name not be used, please inform us in writing at the time of submission. By submitting a video in the contest you acknowledge your understanding of and agreement with the rules and conditions of the contest and subsequent use of your video to promote study abroad.
