You have the opportunity to earn credit abroad in full year academic programs, semester programs, short-term courses, and summer programs. Financial aid applies to most programs and there are a number of scholarships available.

Insurance for Students Studying Abroad
Students participating in IUPUI overseas study programs are required to have international health insurance coverage, which includes both medical evacuation and repatriation benefits. Students on IUPUI programs will purchase insurance through the IU student international health plan, which costs $27.50/month.

Coverage for Non-IU Sponsored Programs
Students participating on a non-IU sponsored overseas study program are not able to purchase insurnace through the Study Abroad Office. These students are responsible for purchasing their own insurance coverage if the overseas study program they are going on does not provide coverage.
