1st Place
Stephen Short, "Local Lucha Libre Entertainment", Cuernavaca, Mexico
This photo was taken at a Lucha Libre wrestling match. The place was packed and the audience was really getting into it!
2nd Place

Ramona Reed, "Abandoned Pride", Negril, Jamaica
There are abandoned shops similar to these found throughout Jamaica. They have been abandoned but are never torn down.
3rd Place
Angela Brothers, "Empanadas", Nicoya, Costa Rica
We had a cooking class every Friday afternoon at one of the host family’s homes. This was the grandson of our cooking teacher. He was helping us make Empanadas.
Most Picturesque
1st Place
Nicholas Snyder, "Overlooking Heidelberg from the Castle", Heidelberg, Germany
I took this photo on a short trip from Mannheim near the end of our GO GREEN program.
2nd Place
Keleih Kitano, "Kyoto's Golden Pavilion", Kinkakuji, Kyoto, Japan
3rd Place
Jeremy Yarbrough, "Descending to the Base of the Falls", Chutes d'Ekom, Cameroon
This is the tiny jungle trail that leads to the base of the Chutes d’Ekom waterfalls in western Cameroon. Reaching the base can be perilous: the trail is never any wider than a motorcycle tire, extremely steep, and almost impossibly slick due to the moss-covered rocks and mud that make up the trailbed being constantly soaked by the falls’ spray.
Most Unusual
1st Place
Nicholas Snyder, "Planted Tunnel Covering in Linz, Austria", Austria
Cars driving under a park in Linz, Austria. The park used to be a freeway before they covered it and planted it. Now the neighborhoods who used to be separate come together in the park.
2nd Place
Nicholas Snyder, "Garbage Mover at MVV", Heidelberg, Germany
Here the class is observing giant claws moving waste material at the biomass electricity plant in Mannheim.
3rd Place
Keleih Kitano, "Nekodon (Cat Rice Bowl)", Tokyo, Japan
A white cat sleeping in a Japanese style rice bowl at one of Tokyo’s cat cafés.
IUPUI Students Abroad
1st Place

Nicholas Snyder, "On the Catwalk at MVV", Heidelberg, Germany
Here the class is observing giant compost piles at a biomass electricity plant in Mannheim.
2nd Place
Casey Orr, "Dominican Pride", Veragua, Dominican Republic
I took this picture while we were completing a service project at an elementary school in Veragua. Will Watson, a member of our group, designed this mural to paint on the front of the school featuring the two founders of the school, along with the words “Dominican Pride” painted in the center of the mural.
3rd Place

Christin Johnson, "Tea Time", Kenya
An employee of a tea plantation watches as a faculty member from our center for service and learning shows a photo she just took.
