Programs with Spanish Language of Instruction

Programs listed below are offered with Spanish as the primary language of instruction and are designed for students who wish to explore various aspects of Spanish language, culture, and society. Some emphasize language acquisition with other focuses (e.g. health or human rights).

The IUPUI Program in Spanish sponsors a 2-week summer program in the Dominican Republic for students who have successfully completed the mimimum requirement of Spanish-S 313 and offers coursework for either Spanish-S 363 or Spanish-S 496. This program welcomes students majoring in all academic disciplines and is not restricted to language majors. The Department of World Langauges and Cultures at IUPUI also sponsors a summer program in Salamanca, Spain. This conversation and grammar-focused program is intended for students who have completed or are enrolled in first year Spanish. See also programs in French and German

This list above is not exhaustive for programs that could fulfill major credits for your degree. You can consider programs outside your major area of study to fulfill general education and/or elective credits or a semester program with English as the primary language of instruction.

If you find a non-IU program that fits your interests, contact our office at least 6 weeks before your departure to ensure credit transfer and to learn more about applying financial aid or scholarships.
